Speedwell Cavern, bolting.

Jules Barrett drilling a hole using a Bosch GBH 24 volt cordless drill. The hole will be used for the placement of an resin anchor. Jules who is the DCA Resin Anchor person has been helping Jim get started with the project to replace the old Spits in the Pilkington Series, with the latest stainless steel resin anchors.

Jim has decided after visiting the area, with Wayne Sheldon to help him with survey work, that the old anchors and 7.5mm, rope are well over due for replacement, they have done there job and are now old and dangerously worn and in need replacement as soon as possible. The cost of the project will be around £200 this cost has been met by Jim, who looks on it as a sort of donation to the Cave Rescue Organization, "it would be a very difficult place to rescue some one from, so prevention is the way forward!" Persons using the new Anchors and rope will be doing so at there own risk! and should inspect and assess them for them self's before use!
